Email Help

To configure your email in Outlook Express follow these steps - please note that this setup will apply to our Unix servers.

These instructions are intended as a guide only. We have various different servers that will require various different setups - please refer to the instructions that were sent in the setup email that was sent to you for your particular circumstances.

In Outlook Express click Tools/Accounts:

This opens the Internet Accounts dialog box as below. In this box select Add/Mail

This opens the Internet Connection Wizard. Yype your name:

Then click Next and type your email address:

Click Next.
For Incoming mail type: www.yourdomain.co.uk (change yourdomain.co.uk to your actual domain name)
[If your site is hosted on Windows 2000 your Incoming mail will be mail.yourdomain.co.uk]
For Outgoing mail type the outgoing mail address provided by the ISP that you normally dial up with, eg smtp.freeserve.co.uk.

Click Next:
In Account name type the username that WIS has provided you with (as per your setup email).
Type your password as below - remember that passwords are case-sensitive.

Click Next which takes you to the last stage of the Wizard:

Click Finish and you're done!
